Technical Training within our Exterior Surface Finish production team is the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to become a Paint Technician, with training that will take you through the many areas of vehicle surface finishing. To make the most of this opportunity, you’ll need to be someone with plenty of questions, thirsty to learn how things work, with the confidence to seek out the answers.
What will you be doing?
As a Rolls-Royce vehicle damage Apprentice, you will be attending college on a part time basis and you will also follow a placement plan spending time within various areas of the Surface Finish Centre. The three-year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of surface finishing and as an apprentice you will have the following responsibilities:
Surface cleaning and panel preparation
Sanding and polishing
Final inspection and defect rectification
Identifying causes of failure
Improvements to process
Use of efficient working practices to maintain on time delivery.
With hard work and commitment, you will develop specialist technical knowledge supported by the relevant qualifications in vehicle painting.

What do you need to do now?
The next stage of the process is a Strengths Video Interview. You can complete this at any time of day during your three-day invitation window and will be recorded answering a set of questions. There is a practice question at the start and you get multiple chances to record each question, plus the GetMyFirstJob team are on hand to support you and give you lots of top tips and advice! Following this, successful applicants will be shortlisted and invited to a face-to-face Assessment Centre with BMW Group.
Assessment Centres for this role are provisioned to take place in the second half of April or first week in May.
